EU repair rights are in force.
The Right to Repair Directive has applied since 31 July 2026. Manufacturers must now repair many common products at a reasonable price, even after the guarantee ends. Three more things worth knowing:

Legal guarantee
A fault that shows up within two years of delivery is the seller's to put right, at no cost to you.

What is RepairScore?
RepairScore is an independent repairability rating for products sold in the EU. It gives phones, laptops and home appliances a score from 0 to 100 and tells you whether a broken one is worth repairing. Partners never influence a score.
How is the score worked out?
Each score is a weighted mix of five factors: the EU product database (EPREL), how hard the product is to take apart, spare parts availability, repair community data, and age and support. Where a factor has no named source yet, we use our own estimate and label the score as estimated.
Is RepairScore free?
Yes. Your first check needs no account, and a free account gives you 2 checks a month. If you need more, 5 checks cost €2.99, 10 cost €4.99, and Pro is €3.99 a month for unlimited checks.
What does the EU Right to Repair Directive give me?
Directive (EU) 2024/1799 has applied since 31 July 2026. Manufacturers must repair many common products, such as washing machines, fridges and phones, at a reasonable price, even after the legal guarantee ends. If you choose repair over replacement under the guarantee, the guarantee is extended by 12 months.
